Witnessing the growth of our Order, indeed it is the providential care of the Lord that led us to form the 16th foundation in the Diocese of Neyyattinkara in Kerala, India. Several missionaries tirelessly worked in this place to spread the kingdom of God.
On 4th June 2006 the Bridgettines opened a new tabernacle in Amachal. On 6th August 2007 the new house was officially inaugurated. It was the desire of the Bishop of the diocese Rt. Rev. Dr. Vincent Samuel to open a new house and to pray for the diocese of Neyyattinkara.
Being the only women religious congregation in the parish, the sisters are involved in the pastoral ministry of the parish and the three substations. Services are also rendered to another parish run by the Franciscan fathers. Activities include teaching catechism, coordinate ‘Little Way’ association for children, adult catechism, preparing the youth for marriage. Children of these parishes are guided and helped by the sisters at all levels. Sisters extend their to the two parish nurseries and houses are provided for the homeless of the two parish nurseries and houses are provided for the homeless of the parish. Sisters also run a free boarding for the children from various parishes. Visiting the families, taking care of the sick and suffering families of the parish has become a part and parcel of the daily routine of the sisters.
