Kurnool

Premagiri is a beautiful village in which one mood of prayer. In the year 1997, five sisters from Bangalore set out on a journey towards Premagiri, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, which is nine kilometers from the city. In the beginning sisters stayed at the Bishop’s house until the first wing of the house was ready.
On 4th of May 2007, the new house was blessed and inaugurated by the them Bishop of Kurnool Diocese. Most Rev. Gorantala Johnnes, DD and Most Rev. Joji, Bishop of Nalagunda.
The convent is surrounded with different kinds of fruit trees, birds and strong kadapa stone. presently, sisters run a hostel for women, and a tailoring center., sisters render their services in the parish church at the liturgical service, catechetical classes, and visiting the families, preparing the people to receive the sacraments. Sisters also stitch vestments and attend to other needs of the parish church, and engage themselves at the diocesan social service centre, and the retreat centre. Most of the time however is spent before the Lord to pray for the diocese as a whole.
